개요

와이카토 대학교(The University of Waikato, 마오리어 : Te Whare Wananga o Waikato) 뉴질랜드 북섬 해밀턴타우랑가오클랜드에 캠프스를 둔 대학교입니다.

1964 설립된 와이카토 대학교는 뉴질랜드의 마오리족 출신 학생 비율이 높은 대학으로 뉴질랜드 원주민 마오리족의 문화와 태평양 군도, 오세아니아 지역 문화, 역사를 연구하는 태평양 대학 연구기관입니다.

The University of Waikato is now ranked in the 351-400 band in the world by the influential UK-based Times Higher Education organisation.

The rankings are based on teaching, research, citations, industry outcomes and innovation and international outlook.

In 2014 the University of Waikato was ranked in the 401-410 band in the world by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds Limited) in its world rankings index. The University of Waikato lifted its ranking 26 places in the 'Employer Reputation' category while it also improved in the 'Arts and Humanities' subject area (up from 311 to 244+) and the 'Social Sciences and Management' category (125+, up from 210+ last year).

Entry Requirement

 

Korea: University entrance examination with a minimum score of 250.

 

English Proficiency

CAEL Level 7 (University of Waikato): Successful completion of Level 7 with a B grade average and no less than C in any section of the Certificate of Academic English Language (CAEL) programme. CAEL is offered at the University of Waikato (Waikato Pathways College).

IELTS (Academic not General): Some qualifications require an overall band 6.0 and a Writing band 6.0 and some require 6.0 overall with no less than 6.0 in each band (7.0 for the Bachelor of Teaching with no less than 7.0 in each band. 7.5 for the Master of Teaching and Learning). Refer to the English language requirements by qualification.

TOEFL (internet based): 79 - 80 with a Writing score of 20

TOEFL (paper-based): 550 overall including a TWE of 5.0

TOEFL (computer-based): 213 including a TWE of 5.0

Pearson PTE Academic : A PTE Academic overall score of 57 and no less than 57 for Writing. Some qualifications require no less than 57 for each communicative skill (Bachelor of Law & Bachelor of Social have higher requirements).

NCEA (NZ schooling): Meet the NCEA literacy requirements for University Entrance (10 credits from the approved standards with 5 reading credits and 5 writing credits).

Previous study in English: If English was the language of instruction in the last two years of secondary / tertiary studies an English waiver can be considered. Students need to provide evidence of this at the time of application.
