[Summary]
뉴욕주립대학교(The State University of New York) 1948년에 개교한 이래, 주 전체에 64개의 캠퍼스를 운영하며 약 465,000명의 학생들이 재학 중인 대학교이다. Albany, Buffalo, Binghamton, Stony Brook 등의 캠퍼스가 있으며, 위치는 뉴욕 주 내에 위치하고 있다. 학사(Bachelor) 및 석사(Graduate) 과정이 있으며, Online 과정도 제공하고 있다
SUNY
64개의 캠퍼스 대학 중, Binghamton University - SUNY의 경우, 2013 US Report 기준 경영학(Business Administration and management general, 12%), 엔지니어링(Engineering, 10%), 심리학(Psychology, 10%), 생명/생명공학(Biology/Biological sciences, 9%), 영문학(English language and literature, 8%) 순으로 많은 전공자를 배출했다. (타 대학 대비 각 전공의 분포도가 수평적인 편이다.)
International Student
의 경우, 영어 공인 성적 (TOEFL 또는 IELTS)을 제출해야 하는데, 이는 SUNY의 각 캠퍼스 마다 서로 다른 기준을 제시하고 있다. (, 편입생--Transfer Student 의 경우, English Proficiency 과목을 이수한 경우, 영어성적 제출을 면제--waive--해 주고 있다.)

[Entry Requirements]

International First-Year (Freshmen) Applicants:

-       You must have completed the highest level of secondary education in your country of residence.

-       You must submit official secondary school records.

-       You must meet the language requirements.

Transfer Applicants:

-       You must submit the required materials listed as well as transcripts from all colleges or universities/each post-secondary institution of higher education attended.

-       Students currently enrolled in a college or university should send a partial transcript upon application and then a final transcript once the marks/grades have been recorded and coursework completed.

-       Transfer applicants will be evaluated for admission based on the number of credits completed and the grades received in their coursework. Transcripts should show grades/marks and credits earned for all college-level work. The number of completed credits and grades required will vary among SUNY colleges, and individual colleges may also require secondary education records.

English Requirements
- International First-Year (Freshman) Applicants:

You must demonstrate English proficiency via the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), TOEFL iBT (Internet-based TOEFL), or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) examination, or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) orACT(American College Test), or equivalent as determined by individual campuses.

Exams must be taken by any prospective student whose native language is not English. Exams should be taken as early as possible and students should have results sent directly to the admissions office at each SUNY campus to which a student would like to apply. If more than one exam is reported to a campus, campuses will consider highest exam score. The minimum required proficiency scores vary among SUNY colleges.

Transfer Applicants:

Within the U.S.- You may not be required to submit additional proof of English Language Proficiency (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS) if you have attended an accredited university or college within the United States, or have attended an English-speaking university and have taken college-level English writing and composition classes.

Outside of U.S. – You will be required to submit proof of English Language Proficiency via the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), TOEFL iBT (Internet-based TOEFL), or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) examination, or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) or ACT (American College Test), or equivalent as determined by individual campuses.
